OMEGA - Nicole Kidman is Ladymatic

OMEGA make the most beautiful watches! But not only is beauty involved, technology and precision are also at the heart of the company's philosophy.
The pioneering brand has just been reintroducing a name from the brand’s illustrious past: the OMEGA Ladymatic. Originally launched in 1955 and continuing through different generations, the Ladymatic wristwatch line defined feminine grace and elegance in modern times. This strategy confirms that the 50's are definitely trendier than ever (remember the latest Vuitton's campaign - below image?)

Anyway, it was one of the brand’s first self-winding watches to be designed especially for women and it featured the smallest automatic movement OMEGA had ever made. Isn't that incredible? A beautiful object with the sharpest technology!

Nicole Kidman et Ladymatic
Nicole Kidman, (do I need to present her?) an OMEGA brand ambassador since 2004, will be the face (and wrist) associated with the Ladymatic line. Asked about the campaign Kidman said, “There’s something appealing about that type of communication. There’s a fascination with the era which means that the advertisements can be playful without actually turning back the clock. As the Ladymatic watch collection represents state-of-the-industry technology, this campaign is really a sort of wink.”

Here is a trendy video of the behind-the-scenes of the ad campaign, shot by Lindbergh:

Very cool, isn't it?
Next to these activities, OMEGA also run a museum. The Museum was opened to the public in January 1984 and is the oldest watch museum dedicated to the history of a single brand. Along with some 4000 watches, the remarkable collection includes movements, clocks, instruments, tools, photos, engravings, posters, signs, awards and certificates. Here is the address for your next visit!
